Tutoring Rules

Dear students,

As you know, tutoring provides important learning support to several students in our program and we would like as many of you to take advantage of this opportunity as possible, especially but not exclusively if you find yourselves struggling with specific topics, assignments or skills.

Since tutoring hours are limited and in light of frequent last-minute cancellations of tutoring sessions by students, it has been decided, effective today, that missing a tutoring session you signed up for or cancelling on the same day of the appointment will negatively affect your grade for participation.

As far as mandatory tutoring goes, students earning a grade of D+ or below will have to meet with the tutor four times over two weeks. Students with less than B- and more than D+ will be required to attend one mandatory session. Failure to abide by these rules will also result in a lower grade for participation.

Individual tutorials can also be planned in advance with me for grades lower than D-.

I hope these changes will allow more students to benefit from tutoring sessions.

Buon week end!

Cristina
